This is a 15 hour course and intended for those new to working with children. It is to help you create an environment which will stimulate children's play and maximise their opportunities for a wide range of play experiences. The skilled and experienced Playworker is capable of enriching the child's play experience both in terms of the design and resources of the physical environment in the Play setting.

This is Unit PW12-SVQ Playwork Level 3 and is aimed at adults working directly with children. It is recommended that adults should have an appropriate level of training in child protection and be familiar with procedures for dealing with suspected abuse. The course duration is two days and is also acceptable for CPD purposes.
The aim of this two day course is to provide delegates with theoretical knowledge and practical skills to correct moving and handling procedures appropriate to their individual working environments. The course is endorsed by the Association of Occupational Therapists.
